Higher Learning Standard of Conduct and Anti-Trolling System
Quote:
In an effort to combat recent trends in Higher Learning, beginning effective immediately we will be strictly enforcing Higher Learning's policy prohibiting trolling and ignorance.
If you feel that a thread is a troll thread or a post is a troll post please, quote the post in question, or the thread in question, and place @Brown Pride and @BarNone, along with "troll post or thread" in your response.
Once this reply is posted we will consider action against any identified troll post response that is dapped by 3 or more users. (So if you feel a post has been properly identified as trolling, then dap that response)
Moderators reserve the right to withhold from deleting any posts or locking any thread. We will exercise our best judgement.
We reserve the right to take action against those who abuse or misuse this system.
Though we would prefer that the system is transparent, we understand that sometimes individuals will not want to publicly label certain user's posts as trolls, if one provides a link to a particular post and private messages us claiming that it is a troll post or thread, it will be considered the same as if it were a usual identification or dap.
Keep in mind we're human, we'll make mistakes, but we'll do our best to keep it honest. We apologize in advance for any shortcomings.
It was supposed to be an official announcement so I'm re-posting what @Brown_Pride posted earlier.

If you have a "fake" article, say from the Onion, do not post it up as if it were real news.
If you have an article about dogs, but title it Germans in America, don't.
Don't create threads without a point or discussion.
We've been pretty lax with regards to deleting things and just letting the forum be, as it should be, but things like i've just mentioned detract from the spirit of this forum..."Higher Learning" and in all it's not a good look for the forum or the site.
You're better than that; we're better than that.

And to reiterate, please give threads proper titles. HL isn't the place to attention whore.
