The beauty of using DSLRs is that they are built to last. You can get a 10 year old DSLR and it will likely preform beautifully for you until you are ready to upgrade. The same goes for lenses. Ebay, craigslist, or your local camera shops are great places to get started.
Im talking about consumer market cameras not the professional level.
i doubt many people in this forum will ever decide to upgrade to FX or even consider film.
Oh aight. I gotcha

I believe I follow you on tumblr, your work is amazing breh. I've been taking photos just around the same time. I was just a graphic design major and I picked up a camera and never looked back
Damn these pictures look good as hell. I'm feeling the pajama party pic with ole girl on the right.
Fukk I always kind of wanted to delve into photography and shooting small skits or something but I didn't know where to start. Any starters guide? What's the price range for these cameras? I could see me doing alot of sh1t with these.
How do you achieve this effect? i wanna do something similar but im not sure how to set up the lighting, etc.
just keep practicing and take a LOT of pics. I went to a kids bday party today and took 155 pics in 2 hours.

Honestly, I've been meaning to get into photography for quite some time now. I'm tired of just adding favourites to my deviantart account, lol. I want to get in on the action myself.
At a total loss of where to begin, however. And it's not for lack scenery either; traveled the world with a poor camera and regret it.
Let me know if ya'll need me to upload any tutorial video courses. I'm going thru them Lynda jawns and they pretty good so far...still confused as ****, but its slowly starting to make sense.

It's really just natural lighting, I just used somme slight HDR techniques in photoshop to give it a little magazine feel to it.
So you just went into a dark area with a street light and took it?
