I read Ultimatum and I don't know why cats hate on it. Can u guys enlighten me? I thought it was something different, but I do agree that killing off some characters was

I do like where they took reed richards after Ultimatum dude is a better villain in that universe.

I'm reading the new Ultimate X-men and I think they're hinting at this timeline being wrong because of what Jean Grey did against Apocalypse

Key word is "AFTER".


The Ultimatum event was done purely for shock value and much of it betrayed already established (and better) characterizations for most of the characters. The ONLY decent thing Jeph Loeb wrote for the Ultimate Line was that Ultimate X Mini that introduced Wolverine's kid.

It hasn't been bad, just......meh.

It reads a lot like that Feat Itself bullshit where a lot of things happen but it still manages to feel uneventful.

It's had it's moments here and there (Black Panther slapping Stark, Cap beating down Wolverine and throwing him out of a plane, Cyclops doing bauce ***** ****, the phoenix five costumes). but overall it's been a joke.

I barely **** with mainstream marvel anymore outside of Amazing Spider-Man, Daredevil, & Fantastic Four.

Ultimate Marvel is way better with Ultimate Spider-Man, Ultimates, and Ultimate Comics X-Men.

that universe has it up's and down's. The way they handled glatcus and silver sufer sucked but the protyal of spider-man was/is soild.

I don't think they gave a **** about the x-men.

matter of fact x-men didn't really get alot of love once the 90's ended. I think Joe and co liked the non mutants better.

The Ultimate X-Men stuff had a REALLY good run to begin with, it just fell off much later.

Also after the 90's ended is when the X-Men line had one of it's best periods (early 2000's was the Morrison Era).

i feel you I liked Morrison's run but alot of people don't. In reality though they should have separated the two universes though. x-men don't really fit in mainstream marvel.

yeah AvX isnt anything special, but its better than fear itself which was just plain boring, stupid oh and it sucked.

oh and I loved ultimate universe until ulitmatum by ***** *** loeb came and fucked it over. now that almost all interesting characters are dead I dont really give a **** about this universe, maybe they should restart it?
