I know the Diner Scene and Bank Robbery shootout was the GOAT moments of this flick, but there were so many other scenes that were just as powerful.
Like, when Val Kilmer's character goes to Ashley Judd's crib after the shootout, and the cops are inside waiting for him to turn up, and she signals him with her hands to keep driving.
And, I know it's been said over and over, but why did Neil detour from the airport.

Because he had "unfinished business" with Waingro
Waingro fukked up the robbery in the very beginning and got away when they tried to kill him at the diner....and he also dropped a dime on them for the bank robbery...so Neil being the type of guy he was...couldnt just let it go

I blame Jon Voight. He should have kept that info to himself. Send Neil a text when he's on the plane like,
Heat is pretty much a perfect screenplay. Every scene had meaning and conflict and backstory and subtext. Even the secondary characters like President Palmer's story. Had you really feeling for his girl when she was in that bar and saw his face show up on the news.
Deniro's speech to Edie towards the end.
"I don't even know what I'm doing anymore. I know life is short, whatever time you get is luck. You want to walk? You walk right now. Or on your own... on your own you choose to come with me. And all I know is... all I know is there's no point in me going anywhere anymore if it's going to be alone... without you."
perfectly tied up how they met and she asked him if he was lonely. He was all, "I'm alone, I'm not lonely."
There's time' with that De Niro look of confidence...
Man, I love this movie, all the scenes mentioned. Plus, Kilmer's fight with his wife when he has some great lines, something like 'Take the bank book and the credit cards and get out what do you want from me'?
Of course, the 'Last Night' scene, on the balcony, and the meeting in the bookstore, I've done a variation of the De Niro 'Who are you and why are you interested in what i do or what I read' on accident too lol

As a young'n I didnt understand why he was trippin off that piece of ***** was hittin on him....but made perfect sense...thats what the feds do
I love the Pacino moment when he's talking to the guy in the club, 'So you ran into a guy on the street....an ex con, who you know from prison, who says he's not doing anything.... and that's what you have for me? Well I am OVERFUCKING WHELMED'
The yelling worked in this, unfortunately he dragged it around with him for seemingly the rest of his career..
