twilight was written for a specific audience.. little girls.
it is pretty much the PERFECT love story for girls.
the main character is a regular *** girl. there's nothing special about her. BOOM. they're sucked in.
a good looking guy is attracted to this regular girl. dream scenario.
the guy turns out to be a vampire.. so much more dangerous than the typical teenage bad boy. another panty dropper for girls.
then another good looking guy falls for the regular girl. a fucking werewolf this time.
turns out the guys HATE each other. not only is it regular dislike for one another, their species hate each other. it's like regular hate on steroids. girls love to be fought over.
the vampire can't touch the girl. BOOM. forbidden love.
so on and so on.
it's actually pretty easy to see why girls eat that **** up.
it's successful because if you manage to lure little girls in.. it's a wrap. titanic, boy bands, twilight, etc. you don't get a more rabid fan base than that.
guys stop that **** a lot earlier.. yeah we had the ninja turtles lunchboxes when we were lil kids but i didn't have a biggie notebook in middle school. but girls had all that nsync hanson gear.
