Gay, straight, or anything in between, Frank Ocean is one of the best songwriters in the game right now, and Channel Orange was one of the best albums of 2012.
So, yeah, 1 star, neg rep.
And R.Kelly is the best but he never got a solo performance at the MTV Awards nor the Grammy's. What seperates Kellz from Frank Ocean besides sexuality?

Everyone's entitled to their own beliefs. but I always find it hilarious how much homosexuality causes seemingly logical men to come up with some of the most wild, irrational shyt. it makes nyggas who've never set foot in the church all of a sudden start quoting scripture. it makes nyggas who've never read a history book in their life all of a sudden become arm chair revolutionaries convinced that the gay agenda is out to destroy the black man. it makes nyggas who lie, cheat, steal and fornicate start preaching against the immorality of our culture like a conservative politician.
shyt is hilarious. nyggas will come up with any reasoning besides the most honest one, the shyt just grosses you out and makes you feel uncomfortable.
When "I believe I can fly" was the biggest song on the planet nobody thought of Kellz as a pedophile. When TP2.com was rated as a top 3 r&b album of alltime nobody thought of him as a pedophile.
His album opened at #2 two months before the MTV awards.

Lecrae won a grammy but he didn't get a primetime performance did he? I never said getting a grammy was such a huge feat. Getting a solo performance at the MTV awards and the grammy's is very rare without a hit single on your resume. It's so rare only 1 black artist has ever done it and it's the ****.
Getting a primetime performance is something awarded to every artist nominated for Album of the Year. India Arie performed the year she was nominated. Why do you keep talking about hit singles when many others without hit singles perform every single year?

That's a load of bullshit. "I Believe I Can Fly" came out, like, two years after the Aaliyah ****, and TP2.com came out around the same time as the "alleged" sextape.
I'm not saying R. Kelly didn't deserve a grammy moment, but god damn. Everything's the "gay agenda" to you ******. Stop being so insecure and live your fucking life.

#2 on what charts? Many others who don't have hit singles aren't black. How the **** can an award show with a history of being racist justify having a ***** perform on it without a hit record? Kelly Clarkson said she didn't know who Miguel was but she wants to do a song with him after tonight. This was after she won her award tonight and Miguel has hit records so imagine how many ppl didn't know who Frank Ocean was yet he got to perform. If she didn't know who Miguel was, imagine what her thoughts were when the real *** took the stage.
I never mentioned any church scripture in this thread. I said the plot was to emasculate the black man and nobody is denying that is what the agenda is are they? Even the biggest Frank Ocean supporter has to ask themselves how the **** did he get this much acclaim from the establishment. His album has to be the second coming of "Off The Wall" for him to be able to have solo performances at the MTV awards and the Grammy's without a hit single. Usually by the time a black artist gets to perform at those shows your grandmother and baby cousins knows their hit single word for word.
bruh, my point is, you're mad that a **** won a bunch of awards. it's as simple as that. but instead of just admitting that, you're coming up with all this shyt about a hidden gay agenda, grammy conspiracies, etc. to justify your anger
I wasn't in High School that long ago but if I was to tell myself back in High School that in 2013 a ***** could wear a dress and another could admit to being gay and both would win grammy's and have ****** on Sohh defend them for doing it then I would've told myself I must've started smoking crack. That would be an ill Blake Griffin Kia commercial.
Lyfe Jennings made a classic debut album but didn't get 1/8 the attention this **** gets. Had he not admitted to being a ****** he'd be TQ status after Bye Bye Baby dropped. At the most he'd be J.Holiday status. All this grammy **** for a ***** without a top 5 solo single is a blatant agenda by the white man to highlight black gay men. The same reason every comedian has to wear a dress before they can blow up in Hollywood.
"Thinkin about you" wasnt a top 5 single?
SPOILER:

Homophobia really is a crazy thing, I guess it handed down through years of religious intolerance, ignorance, fear, and prejudice. I just don't get why you would hate gays, lesbians, any of it, it makes no sense, to me from an intellectual standpoint. Between consenting adults behind closed doors....no business of mine. My first and only male cousin is gay, so I could never hate gays....but I grew up, and still say 'gay' as an insult, '******' here and there, but actually fearing and hating gay people? Why? for what?
Though he was bested by grits-and-gravy rockers Zac Brown Band's Uncaged album, which debuted at #1 on sales of 234,000, Ocean's Orange hit #2 with 131,000 in digital sales, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan.

Miguel's album has sold nowhere as near as many as Frank's.
And again, Album of the Year nominees get to perform.

The whole Aaliyah **** was still something that ppl weren't 100% certain about. For a while it was still debated whether it was fact or rumor.

I'm not mad a **** won a bunch of awards. When Luther Vandross won an award I wasn't mad. If Tevin Campbell won an award when he was dropping his classic singles I wouldn't be mad. The ppl actually consumed those albums. Black ppl supported those artists. But to have a guy who isn't being supported by urban/black radio get all this acclaim for r&b music by the establishment when other artists like Anthony Hamilton don't get 1/8 of the recognition it makes me ask myself why. I know the history of emasculating the black man bruh. You can't tell me dude ain't being forced on black ppl and we still don't accept him. If every artist of a critically acclaimed album got to perform at the Grammy's Lyfe Jennings would have bail money.
