Random SOHH memory:

Someone once made a thread titled something along the lines of "Sentenza vs. Derrick Coleman: who is the bigger waste of flesh?"

For some reason, that really made me laugh

Ehh...

Sheed is somewhat underrated. If basketball players decided who gets in the HOF, he may have a shot.

But since its crusty old writes who have an agenda and never played the sport, he probably won't.........

Don't get me started on DC

Sheed was never better than Duncan.

Derrick Coleman and Chris Webber is probably the better discussion, imo.

Sheed never even made an ALL NBA team lol. Dude was always overrated because of his potential, but it never actually led to superstar production

Sheed could never of been the PF ever..

He didn't want to even be the lead dog on his team. He was fundamentally sound and a good player.

DC was fuckin nasty. He had the tools to be an all timer but he didnt get there.

I see what the thread starter as far as their talent. Both of them could handle the ball, shoot the jumper, had great post games, and Sheed was a geat defender. I feel them or Chris Webber could have been the best ever if they were dedicated enough. Sheed never wanted to be the man from day one so we should have known he would never reach his potenial. But he still was blocking 100 shots and hitting 100 threes for a few years in a row. Webber was guaranteed 20 and 10 every night but he could have been so much more. I believe with his passing skills and his handle and jumper he could have played until his late 30's and been effective if he wouldn't have messed up his knee. And Derrick Coleman was the predecessor to both of them. But when you don't care and come to training camp damn near 300 pounds their's realistically no hope in you being the best at anything. He balled and resurrected his career when he was in Philly though.

It was never a question of what Sheed couldn't do...it was always a question of what he actually did. Pistons coulda been Spurs East if he decided to actually play up to his potential. ***** woulda never made it to Detroit if he actually played up to his potential. It was always funny to me how he got a pass while ****** like Dirk were considered soft for being a 7 footer shooting 3s and shying away from the post, meanwhile this ***** Sheed out there launching more 3s than FTs for like a decade.

DC easily.
That guy was really unstoppable when he cared (92-94 with Chuck Daly as coach), but it was all too rare.
