question about the new rules, lets say I have a first rounder but then traded away all of 2-10 picks. does that mean I can still keep 4 2nd rounders ? I hope not.

No.
If you have a 1st round pick, and NOTHING between round 2 and 10....you can keep a 1st rounder, but no one else with a keeper value higher than 11.
Similarly...if you have 3 2nd rounders you want to keep, but only have one 1st round pick and one 2nd round pick....you can only keep two of them.
Keeper value slides up until you have a pick to replace. If you 'pass' the first round on that slide, you lose the chance to keep that player.

Correct. I will vote on this in the poll, but I want clarity on this 2013 implementation. To confirm, when we go to implement our keeper picks next February, these rules will be in place, correct?

no, we're starting after next season because people already moved picks for next year.
Correct. At least one person expressed objection to implementing the rules this offseason...I think it was Tommy, because he moved a 1 for AGon...and that would preclude him from keeping Kinsler next year (if thats the way he chose to go)
It would incredibly unfair to punish him with a midseason rule change. Unless someone wants to give him a 1 , we'll have to wait.

Got damnnit.
Like, I totally understand it, but its just going to give us another year of this stupid bullsheit.
Like, anyone could do exactly what HHR did, again, with no repercussions.

It's just stupid.
I admit, I was against the changes because I wanted to see what kind of problems it would actually lead too...and even though we still don't know, REALLY, I didn't foresee the kind of wild firesale we got two weeks into this season lol. My bad, apologies to all.
But, putting them in next year will still have an impact. Me and KOB, who have multiple 1st round picks in next years draft...won't be able to keep all of that talent, so it will prevent the kind of dynasty building.
