How do you increase your repetitions? I've been doing dips for over a month now and I can barely break 10 straight dips.

Its all a mental block believe me. Set a benchmark and increase it every time you work out or every week

For example, after taking a year off i could barely do 5 pullups. I set it at 5 one workout. the next I set it at 10. The next, 12. The next 15. Its been 3 months and my pullups in one set is 30. Im going for 35 tomorrow

Pushups gone from 15, in 3 months is now at 70.

You at 10 now. Set the mark at 15. I dont care how long it takes you. STAY ON THE BAR UNTIL YOU GET 15. Even if its a half rep, DO IT. If your arms let out on you, get right back up there and finish the set.

This is a mental exercise. Your thoughts will be screaming at you, but focus

For real i agree on the mental block. Everything i do has gone up considerably but push ups have not. I'm stuck at 50-53. Pull ups, squats, dips, planking side and front everything is way up. I'm thinking if dips have doubled push ups should go up just from that extra strenght.
I think it's because when i started i got these weird elbow joint/tendon/whatever injuries from push ups. got into my head. Something that strangely helped me (for everything but push ups) was counting down instead of up. Start with the amount you look to do and count down to zero.

Sidenote:This is what helped me reach my weight lifting peaks back in the days. Calisthenics before lifting will have you lifting CRAZY numbers.
My weight lifting numbers went through the roof when i added burppes into my regiment on off lifting days.
BlkHat and infamous212 dap this.

This helps too. Its a little trick I learned. Either count down, or break it up. If im doing 70 pushups and I notice im breaking mentally. Id count to 35 then count back down makes it easier. Then id work up my mind to be able to handle the full count.

I did 100 pullups today (i weigh 232 ).And yeah I hear ya on doing explosive calisthenics. Definitely increases hand speed. Troy Polamalu also doesn't lift

You seem to know quite a lot. I am taking notes on your little tips.

What is your history? You were a boxer you say?

Yea whenever I tell somebody my workout they look at me like
I bench then jump right on the floor to do pushups. Nothing, not weight gain, not creatine, shot up my lifts like calisthenics.

Yea I boxed for a while. Been lifting on and off for 5 years. While boxing I realized the power of controlling your own mind. So now im what id call a spiritual walk to discipline the mind/heart. Doing that ive removed plateaus from every aspect of life, including exercise
