Default Just got a freak injury brehs

So I was pushing 225 on the bench press, on my 6th rep, I felt something tearing up on my between my left upper chest and my armpit and the arm was getting number as the tearing progressed.


I even heard the noise going "schwaaaaaaaaaaaaaap"


I stopped instantly, stretched and did some light weight on it. It was uncomfortable but not as painful as before.

My left shoulder hurting me like a mother now brehs



Wife gave me a soft tissue massage and she applied some ice.

Has that happened to anybody in here before ?

Rest it and ice it breh. Also make sure you warm up on a cardio machine before lifting. Most lifting injuries occur because people just walk in cold and start lifting. The muscles are cold so they don't contract or stretch as well, compared to if they were warmed up. Do 10 min on an elliptical so that you're thoroughly warmed up. If the pain prevents you from doing anything in the next few days, go to the dr.

as you can see if you were to move the elbow to about where you would be benching that coincides with what you were feeling :dro:

take atleast a month off of benching/chest work tho.

Dawg, I stretched and did some pull ups pre workout as usual breh breh. I m gonna rest it for a week then try pushups. No benching for a month breh breh.

I should be fine in a few days though.

It happened on my 6th rep and any weight can give you an injury. It depends on your muscle being ready for the workout breh.

Alot of ppl claim they stretch and warmup but they do a shitty job at both and get injured.

Either your form is improper or that is too much weight for you. Maybe a combination of both.

But I hope you haven't done too much damage.
