I only superset when I need a 3+ min break.
Example:
Say I'm doing power sets with 5min rest
Bench 3-5 reps -> *2min rest* -> Row 3-5 reps -> *2min rest*
By the time I'm back to benching 5mins have past and acute fatigue has mostly subsided.
For slightly higher reps with 3min rests, I'd just shrink the rest time to 1minute. I wouldn't go lower than that though.
