I don't think they should be banned, but they should be regulated much more aggressively. There is no way it should be easier to go buy a gun than it is to get a drivers license.

I dont even understand what you are trying to say. What I meant by that is this guy shot up a large amount of people. If more people were armed, than maybe someone could have shot back and prevented this mass murderer from killing anymore people. Its the old arguement. If you outlaw guns, only the outlaws will have them. They dont follow the law either way so you need to be properly equipped to protect yourself.

Oh and I'm saying if more people had guns, LESS people would get shot. Its a proven statistic that places with a higher concentration of guns have a lower rate of gun violence. Its a mutual destruction type thing similar to the Cold War where the threat of a nuke from one side meant the other would use theirs as well.

The arguments in the thread before you were about assault rifles and mass murderers. Just because one rich guy happens to be insane doesn't mean that 99.9% of the others are. He also didn't commit mass murder. He committed a single murder which he could have carried out with a knife or by choking someone so gun control is irrelevant.

You are assuming gun owners are idiots. Most people I know with guns are very safe and practice shooting at the range. Its personal responsibility. Most states require training classes before you can get your license so people DO get proper training.
