Excuse my Jungle nerdness, but Headz didn't start till late 94, a good two and a half years after Jungle developed. Headz was one of the label that led the transition from Jungle to D&B.
It was labels like Reinforced, Moving Shadow, Labello Blanco, Deejay, Lucky Spin, Suburban Base, Ibiza, etc, that really developed Jungle in 92.
And even within the so-called Hardcore scene, there was always two scenes, the Roast, Kool FM and AWOL side(basically more Black, man dem crew), and Raindance, Elevation, Fantazia(Ravey, more White crew). And the former where never on that crazy, hands in the air piano, chipmunk stuff. It was pretty much the real heavy Breakbeat, dubby B-lines stuff, they were on, which really was just Jungle anyways.

basically, what I was more referencing was the profound effect terminator had...yeah the label started in '94 but you damn well know who I was talking about and what I was getting at when I said 'metalheadz' lol. Maybe a better example would've been what the grime heads did back in 2001-2002 but I'm still confident in my comparison because it is weird times over here

Matter of fact it was 'Killamuffin' Goldie's first tune that really change the game, that was the first tune hat used timestretching, which of course became a huge thing in Jungle.
Turned 30 in August last year, i'm somewhat of a Jungle historian .
The tune that did it tho was Lenni Di Ice 'We are ie', one of the first big rave tunes to use the dub bassline. Basically it was Lenni and the small crew of East and North Londoners, who really started touching on that sound.
I love Jungle/D&B from 92-96 so much, every fucking angle, such beauty and adventure in the music, it's a shame, that the music will never get the love it deserves, Jungle had a big influence on music as a whole, but people just don't know it.

I have had some serious vinyl (grime vinyl) adventures lately
I could've brought a slimzee special dubplate of lady b line's 'vex' a couple weeks ago. I twiddled my thumbs for too long and someone else got it... i'm still haunted by not getting it. It'll probs take another 10 years to go on sale. It's the first track in this legendary dizzee set, that noone until the dubplate came up for sale a couple weeks ago knew the name of
Also, there was a wiley bootleg dubplate that had 3 unknown tracks on it that I missed out on a couple weeks ago as well. Tbf it was £80 so I don't think i'd have got it...........maybe .
but I guess you win some you lose some, but I'll get into my wins at a later date (involves sending a clip of a mix me and my bwoy made to bok bok and him going nuts over it)

^^^I'm the same way, I only look for Early Dubstep stuff, I pretty much do the same with Jungle, early US and UK Garage, and just about other Genre I get into. Try to find the early obscure stuff.
