I mean overall.

Uno had a few good songs.
Dos had a couple at best that were okay.
Tre came out today, and seems to be closer to Uno in quality, but has 3-4 songs on it.

I have been a fan of them since before Dookie really took off and have bought(or obtained) every album they have released.

The 4 eps that make up their first album are okay.

Ker Plunk! is pretty damn good overall, with a couple songs that rank in their catalog as favorites to this day.

Dookie is a classic, but has not aged as well as you would hope. The singles are still good, and a couple others are pretty damn good.

Insomniac is alright. More intense than Dookie/closer to a real rock album, but has a couple non-serious/fun tracks thrown in, and holds up pretty well.

Nimrod- Minus my hatred to how overplayed Good Riddance became, the album is pretty good. A LOT of it sounds the same though, which tends to be Green Day's problem overall.

Warning- A couple alright tracks, but not a great effort overall.

American Idiot- A modern classic by many. I think it is pretty good, and some of the non-singles are pretty solid, and sometimes better than the singles.

21st Century Breakdown- While not as good overall as American it is still a good album. Intense with some pretty good songs, and you can see the storyline in it like you can Idiot.

Now, if you took the actually good songs out of the three albums they put out this year, you would probably come up with a solid 12-15 track album and call it a pretty good day. Instead we have 36(or so. might be a couple more or less, I don't have them in front of me) tracks that are status overall. Dos is clearly the one that has the worst material on it, but it does have a couple good tracks.

If they were to just put out a "Best of" Compilation for the three albums it would probably sell better than the three albums alone, because it is just a **** load of filler and pretty poor songs to make it look like 3 albums, instead of 1 album they wanted to milk people into buying, and then release a "Complete Version" of a year later with 6 more songs would have been a better tactic.

I downloaded all three albums but not listened to them yet. Your review sounds like what I originally thought when I heard they were releasing 3 albums in a span of 4 months... just a hand full of good songs and the rest filler. I'm going to listen to the albums and hopefully I will be

.got damnit...dookie. Huge mistake. Not the worse album ive ever bought but got damn. Dont see how ppl like green day.
