Time to start discussing 2013's new releases.

So far we have Toro Y Moi, Beach Fossils, and Christopher Owens. Three noteworthy releases before the new year even hits

Here's a list of some upcoming ones I'll be checking for:

Queens of the Stoneage
Quote:
In November 2012 Josh Homme told BBC's Zane Lowe that Joey Castillo had left the band, and drums on the new album would be performed by Dave Grohl, who performed on Songs for the Deaf. He also confirmed that the album would be released prior to their performance at the Download Festival in June.
Iceage
Quote:
You're Nothing, recorded in Copenhagen and on the Danish island of Mψn, is out February 19 via Matador/Escho.
Cold Cave
Quote:
Once the Divine Fits/Cold Cave tour ends, Cold Cave are heading to Los Angeles to record their follow-up to last year’s Cherish the Light Years. If all goes as planned, we should be seeing that record in early 2013.
The Joy Formidable
Quote:
Wolf's Law is the second full length studio album from Welch alternative rock band The Joy Formidable. The album will be released on January 21, 2013 in the UK and on January 22, 2013 in the US through Atlantic Records.
Daft Punk
Quote:
But then they have also confirmed to be working on the new album with legendary Nile Rogers on a new album set to come out in 2013. These Coachella headline dates would align with the release of this new album early next year.
The Knife
Quote:
The album will be released in the Spring of 2013 (April 8th?) on the Mute label, and will also feature Shannon Funchess of Light Asylum.
The Kills
Quote:
When asked if the songs the group is beginning to write for its next album -- which Hince predicts may be out in 2013 -- one wonders how the duo will reinvent itself once again.
Starfucker
Quote:
the band's forthcoming album, Miracle Mile, which will be released on Polyvinyl Tuesday, Feb. 19.
The Black Keys
Quote:
“It [an album] is definitely gonna happen in 2013,” Carney said. “It’s just a matter of how long it take us to make the album and deciding when we want to get back on the road.
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Quote:
On December 17, 2012, the band announced through their Instagram Page that the fourth album would be released in spring 2013.
Nine Inch Nails - hinted at...
Killakidkano dapped this.

Finished that Beach Fossils. crazy good

Listened to that Christopher Owens as background music, didn't give it full attention. Yet another stylistic change, although I'm not sure I would call this one progression. Seemed like it might have some nice melodies if I can devote more time to it. Opinion withheld for now.

Started the Toro Y Moi....didn't get too far into it but I am reminded why I never cared about him in the past. Dude just can not command attention in his vocals. The music is but damn I couldn't get 3 songs into it without being bored to tears. Going to give it another shot later.

New Real Estate album wouldn't go amiss at the end of the year either I reckon

Most likely 2014 though I guess.

Bad Religion will release their new album ''True North'' on January, 22nd.

Their last album was a weedplate. Hopefully they come with some heat this time.
