Portland has a higher suicide rate than Seattle does.....Seattle's suicide rate has gone down since the last few years.....here is an article with the top 15 states and Seattle is not mentioned......its from last year in September...

The suicide rate in Seattle has gone down in part because there are a lot more transplants now then there were 10 years ago myself included. A ton of us want to live here because we were in places that we no longer wanted to live. That creates a good quality of life in general.
