I would, but at the lowest levels doin the most basic shyt so I can get a feel of him (n/h) and what he's really about before I put too much into him. I believe in second chances but ****** like that gotta realize that there are consequences for their actions even if you truly have repented for them
Exactly, good answer bro. They don't expect someone to think highly of them but they just want a chance. I could be doing life right now for **** I've been involved in before but I'm still here. That's why it's hard for me to turn my back on the "ratchets" and folks still in that life. I can't do it P.
I'm having a tough time lately with my felon brehs that I'm trying to help re-enter the workforce. Met a dude today who murked someone with an AK on a dope robbery gone bad but copped a plea for only 7 years because his brother was acquitted on the same charge. Would you give dude a chance if he seems like a changed man and has the skills to do the job over the other applicants?
I would love to say; yes, but, it's not that simple. One, this "not hiring felons" contributes to the terrible revolving door of prisons. But, I don't want this dude working at a department store, while I'm with my kids.

Don't be afraid to be around felons, be afraid of living in fear. I'm around dudes who were about "that life" for real for real. However, I've never feared any of them.

wait for something jump off and fearfulness turns to short term fearlessness
they will all do whatever they could to "keep it real" (shortterm pride effect), which really is all an effective way to catch a case...smh

He was in the game, had some issues with a ***** and murdered him. He seem like he is a good dude in heart. He got a plea because his co-defendant got acquitted and the prosecutor was afraid to go to trial with him. He accepted a plea for 8 years. He left his hometown and just tryna live a decent life. Keep in mind he was 18 when he committed the offense. I've dealt with cats convicted of murder plenty of times, so I think I can tell when a ***** is reformed or not. This dude don't wanna be out there like that no more.
