wasnt much movement today. typical week 1 college saturday. lines were already shaped. the few games that did move broke even, so even if i had time to post info it wouldnt have helped really. big moves were cal (lost outright), auburn (lost) colorado st (won) syracuse (lost) ohio st (won) miami (won)


sharps are LARGE on smu sunday though, and i like it as well, if you are getting 8½ or better they are worth a bet imo (do note this spread opened >10, but i still think value is left above 8)

garrett gilbert has been looking good in camp. im not sure of the baylor qb situation. i'm trying to buy up to +10, but the highest 5dimes is giving me is +9.5.

its a similar situation to the san jose st game, except smu is better than san jose st is. stanford and baylor were 2 teams not accustomed to having elite talent at several positions. lots of that talent left at the same time, and the lines were a little inflated in their first games this season. the sharp bettors just dont feel like these 2 teams can extend a double digit margin on teams yet, and clearly they were correct about stanford coming out of the gates with a clunker. we obviously will see today how baylor looks

not to mention june jones teams can always move the ball, and baylor defense is atrocious
