Because the team is lacking size due to injuries, and even though LO stunk it up this year, he's still one of the most skilled big men in the L when he's inspired. Hard to not be inspired when you're playing for your country.

the dude did really good in the 2010 championships. the dude literally played all 5 postions and did really good even at the center position. LO would be a great fit for this squad if it was Lakers Odom.
