@Won Won, I had 2 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP's. Mine were 2000 model years. I had bought a brand new 4-door 2000 model in 1999 and then I traded it in and got a 2-door 2000 model in 2002. Since they was supercharged it said premium unleaded only. Any car that has forced induction (turbocharged or supercharged) or has a high compression ratio is gonna need that premium.

I have 2 premium guzzlers right now a volvo and a discovery..ive tried "saving" with 87 octane .. the volvo gets sluggish and kicks in the turbo more so it burns through more gas and the discovery gets noisy but performs the same so i use 89 in both now

i drive a cadillac and use premium. It lasts alot longer than regular. That regular is like water.

My bad, I was referring to 89 vs 93 (or 91)

It still boggles my mind that people put straight 87 in their cars. So I usually forget that it even exists.

I learned that **** the hard way

It ain't worth the hassle in the long run to cheap out on it. I have a car that requires 93, gotta pay the cost to be the boss.

I have an Acura TL. I use the mid grade everytime. Did I ? Or should I be good in the long run?

Truth, When I bought my 335 my girl put 87 in i it. Ran like sh)t until I figured out what was going on and added some octane boost and topped off with 91

Unless you don't feel like the car is running like *** and everything is cool with it then you good. My girl uses regular in her Acura and it runs fine.
You obviously feel and notice the difference when you put 93 in the tank, but otherwise you good.

I used to drive my brother's car in high school and it required premium gas. One day I put silver in his car and the next day without me ever mentioning it he "reminded" me to always put gold in his car. Since then, any car I've owned or driven gets premium gas if thats whats recommended.
