Flair in his prime was the best...

Sometimes Hogan and Savage would just ramble intensely, but in their primes they could sell you a dream. Dusty, Rock, Austin, Jericho are just under those guys with hogan and savage in that same tier But Flair, Piper, and Jake were the best. Raven/Cactus Jack/CM Punk fall just beneth all of them though.

Depends what you're looking for in a promo honestly.



Hulk was great at being "larger than life" when he talked, nobody has ever been better at being a super hero when he spoke. Looking back Hogan's charisma just jumps out huge, it's just hard because as an adult it seems cartoonish to me. I prefer a semblance of realism with acting in promos. (Is this guy crazy, dangerous, funny, menacing etc)


Austin, Jake, Foley, Savage, any of the OG horsemen, promos hold up as an adult, still believable and not so cartoonish (Flair was legendary drunk charisma not cartoonish)

This is one of the rare times I have to give a thread a low star. Hogan is certainly underrated as cutter of promos, but hell, I'm not even sure he could make the Top 25 for his own era.
