Because when they have someone that can stay over and doesn't NEED protection...like...CM PUNK DOES...you can afford to have them put over people and still be a draw and deepen your roster.

Its actually great booking that they never did in the 80s and rarely did during attitude era. In the 80s, only Piper, Road Warriors, Savage, and maybe Vader were booked like that. In the 90s they bounced the belt around and CREATED belts to prop up guys.

Cena and RKO don't need the belt...when they do however, it further legitimizes the belt unlike a lot of guys who (as I said) don't carry the belt.

Maybe they'll find a way to do a three way dance with Henry Orton and Del Rio. Randy should get a title run, because it's been a while but i would hold off on the heel turn. I don't think there's a proper amount of time to wrap things up with him and Mark Henry, (who he has to beat at some point) and turn him heel to face Alberto at Mania.

Yeah the violations are a part...but we underestimate just how pushed he was. From 2004-2011 the entire show was revolving around cena, batista, and orton with other dudes just transitioning...batista excused himself and even before his heel turn he was background noise with rey. Cena is the #1 draw and how long has it been since he had the strap?

Im not telling you anything you dont know but that is a much bigger part than injuries and wellness....
