nah u need the software but u don't have to look at the computer screen everything can be done on the actual device

lol I do both....I've never used an MPC before in my life(only used reason and a keyboard), so I often find myself switching from the screen to the device.

I should be joining the Maschine Family this Friday upon arrival....I"m a recovering 2000xl addict, I hope I can use Maschine right out the box.... How long it took yall to knock out your first beat.. and was it original composition or samples, was it done on the hardware sequencer or software.. jus curious

thats good cuz had you did that youd be stubborn like ... Alotta mpc heads love they equipment so much they disregards the obvious technical limitations especially the old one.

Took me two days to knock out a beat and it wit a sample...I look at my computer screen when I sequence everything....you can also look at the screen on your the Maschine to do everything

Got Maschine running thru Ableton Live and its the greatest workflow I have ever known

Maschine is like the perfect marriage between the hands-on feel of an MPC, with the rapid workflow of a DAW
