You are definitely in a good place for a beginner. I think it is necessary to learn your daw. That way you can max it out.

Hit up youtube and search for warbeats tutorials. They will have some great basic info for you.

As for my opinion- you gotta have your kicks and snares hit harder. The samples are pretty good.

And remember... we ALL have a long way to go. Even the pro's scrutinize their beats. You are in a good place.

One thing I'm afraid of is my beats being so dense and overpowering due to the sampling ****** find it hard to spit over them
